The demand for fertilizer in the State of Sao Paulo is analyzed by means of the Nerlove adjustment model and a traditional demand model.
Larson, Donald W.; Cibantos, J. S. · 1970

Abstract
The demand function considers fertilizer use to be a function of fertilizer prices, crop prices, area cultivated, crop yields and time. The results indicate that the price elasticity of demand for fertilizer is inelastic in the short-run and elastic in the long-run and that the demand has changed structurally between the 1949-60 and 1966-70 sub-periods. The policy implications of these results are discussed.
