Evaluation summary : 1982 participants in long-term training programs coordinated by the International Training Division of the Office of International Cooperation and Development, United States Department of Agriculture

Department of Agriculture participant training programs and offers suggestions for program improvements. An exit interview questionnaire was administered to 173 respondents - 126 A.I.D. participants and 47 from other organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Recommendations include the need to improve orientation, support services, and follow-up, possibly with help from the FAO; make sure that trainees participate in high-quality university programs; and conduct research on three key variables - trainee sponsor, degree objective, and related background differences.
