Abstract
The training duration was effective, and the impact of this clinical training was very good, especially in terms of the essential care provided to the Lebanese population. The training was conducted at Saida School of Nursing, and the execution of the training was in good condition, as planned at the beginning of the training. The courses included Role and Responsibilities of Home Health Care, Anatomy and Physiology, Safety and Infection Control, and Occupational Health, among others. The total hours of courses in theoretical and clinical parts during that period were 100 hours and 100 hours, respectively. The overall goal of the course was to learn, strengthen, and strengthen the students in theoretical and practical nursing care related to Home-Based Health Care. The Lebanese Red Cross Faculty of Nursing and the Nursing schools maintained the highest educational standards of excellence, integrity, and professionalism in nursing care, including vocational training in collaboration with USAID and Chemonics. The course duration was 5 months, consisting of 3 months of theoretical courses and 2 months of internship training. The internship training activities took place at Dar al Salam Primary Health Care Centers, where students were very active and the execution of the internship training hours was fruitful. The clinical training at the Primary Health Care Centers aimed to practice the soft skills, community services, and basic nursing skills. The students were able to identify the specialties of the department, the type of care provided to the community and patients, and perform basic nursing duties. They also applied the basic nursing process in the community, provided and evaluated nursing actions, and communicated effectively with patients to assess ongoing health needs. The students were able to create opportunities to promote the health and well-being of patients and groups, implement a health-teaching plan, and learn how a multidisciplinary team works in the care of patients. They also identified clinical care skills in basic nursing practice, verified the characteristics of the nursing profession, and developed a relative plan of basic care for a patient. The students were able to understand the importance of client education, communication, and communication within the team. They also evaluated the care and modifications to the plan of care, were adaptable to clients and their families, and verified the care and treatment provided for the client. The students were very active and interested in taking the training, and they were proud to receive the vocational training with LRC and USAID. They had a very positive impression of the training and were grateful for the opportunity to receive it. Some students even recommended it for many females who are looking for a job like they were. The grant activity met the established objectives in the grant agreement and implementation plan without any problems.
