Abstract
The contract, implemented by Environmental Incentives, LLC (EI) with partner ICF Macro, Inc., provides demand-driven technical and logistical support services in program and activity design, implementation, management, evaluation, communications, and environmental compliance. Task 1 of the LAC ESSC focuses on program and activity design and implementation support. This task involves providing technical assistance to USAID missions and regional offices in the design and implementation of environment, natural resource management, resilience, and energy programs. Key activities under this task include the development of resilience assessment and country profiles, project development documents, and activity designs for various countries in the region, including the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Colombia. One notable example of Task 1's accomplishments is the Eastern and Southern Caribbean Resilience Assessment, which aimed to identify and prioritize resilience-building activities in the region. The assessment resulted in the development of resilience country profiles for several countries, including the Dominican Republic and Colombia. One notable example of Task 3's accomplishments is the facilitation of the LAC/RSD Environment Retreat, which aimed to enhance the capacity of USAID staff in the region to design and implement environment and energy programs. The task also supported the development of a training program on understanding illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing in the LAC region. Task 4 of the LAC ESSC focuses on the analysis and communication of environment and energy trends, data, and safeguard issues. This task involves providing technical assistance to USAID missions and regional offices in the analysis and communication of environment and energy trends, data, and safeguard issues. Key activities under this task include the development of reports, briefs, and other communication materials, as well as the provision of technical assistance to USAID missions and regional offices.
