Grant between USAID and Opportunities Industrialization Centers International (OICI) for vocational training and enterprise development activities

The project also funds support activities at OICI headquarters in Philadelphia. OICI will: employ sufficient headquarters staff to provide administrative support for overseas programs; visit selected countries and organizations for the purpose of developing OICI programs; provide training and orientation to U.S. personnel undertaking overseas assignments; provide U.S. training (at OICI) for selected LDC personnel involved in local programs; coordinate LDC program planning and implementation; develop preliminary information for possible new programs overseas; and prepare proposals for such programs, to include analysis of vocational training needs, the types of training to be offered, schedules for phasing in and phasing out OICI assistance and for total phase-in of local funding support, and a plan for developing local boards.
