Abstract
Under the grant, ORT will establish a 5-person Development Program Unit (DPU) as the center for long-range program planning and evaluation. The DPU will design and implement/supervise at least five pilot skill training projects in developing countries. In addition, feasibility studies will be undertaken to identify skills training needs in at least 15 countries. A minimum of 100 ORT trainers will be employed and will directly or indirectly influence the training of some 10,000 persons. Some countries will receive fee-for-service TA. ORT"s own internal organization will be restructured to incorporate additional management and technical capacity.
