The training activities took place at the Faculty of Nursing in Baabda, with a schedule attached to the schedule of the training. The courses covered included roles and responsibilities of home health care, communication, anatomy and physiology, safety and infection, safety and unsterile warm and cold, vital signs, exercise and activity, elimination, bed making, personal care, nutrition, care of patients with diabetes, care of patients with specific illnesses, care of infants and children, palliative care, transitioning from student to employee, patients with impairments, and patients with specific impairments. The total hours of courses in theoretical and clinical parts were 200 hours, with 18 hours of additional training in soft skills. The students were divided into two groups and attended the training on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am to 3 pm, with some absenteeism reported. Stipends were disbursed as expected, and internship placements were arranged at Lebanese Red Cross primary health care centers, St. Charles Hospital, and AUBMC. The midterm exam was held on March 17, 2022, and all students passed with grades between 12.5 and 18.5 over 20. The students started their internship in June 2022, with the final date set for June 30, 2022. The grant activity met the timeline established in the grant agreement and implementation plan without any problems. However, some comments were mentioned regarding the training, and an agreement is being processed with AUBMC for the internship training. One student is unable to continue their clinical training due to hospitalization, while another student will continue their internship. The students are proud of earning vocational training with LRC and USAID, and a written evaluation will be conducted when the training is completed.
