Abstract
The program's primary objective is to support students in their academic pursuits and equip them with skills necessary for the job market. The grantee organization received a grant from the Community Support Program (CSP) to support this initiative. During the reporting period, the program provided assistance to 38 students, including 35 students in Bt3 and 3 students in Bp2. The students received financial assistance, with each student receiving $348 for three months. The program offered various courses, including math, physics, law, and technical accounting, to the students. The students attended the courses with an average attendance of 85%. The program also provided a stipend to the students, which was distributed with a receipt provided by the school and signed by the student. The program's major activities during the reporting period included providing courses and financial assistance to the students. The courses were conducted in both English and French, catering to the diverse needs of the students. The program's success can be measured by the high attendance rate of the students, which indicates the students' engagement with the program. The program's impact can be seen in the students' improved academic performance and their ability to access financial assistance. The program faced several challenges during the reporting period, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited the program's activities. The program had to adapt to the new circumstances and adjust its activities accordingly. The program also faced challenges in providing practical training to the students due to the lack of resources, including outdated computers. The program's staff worked to address these challenges and find solutions to overcome them. The program's success story is the implementation of an integrated course on time management, workplace ethics, and interview skills for the students. The course was conducted by a representative from the Foyer de la Providence and a representative from the International Cooperation and Development (IECD). The course was well-received by the students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn new skills. The program's future plans include continuing to monitor the students' progress and preparing them for official exams and internship placement. The program also plans to search for internships for the students, make community service hours, and hold a celebration for the students who completed their studies. The program aims to build on its successes and continue to provide support to the students in their academic and professional pursuits.
