Abstract
The survey aimed to assess the extent to which health providers in Nepal's health facilities provide counseling on essential topics. The data were analyzed to examine the relationship between provider counseling and client knowledge. The survey found that the majority of clients received counseling on various topics during their visits. However, the quality of counseling varied significantly across different topics and health facilities. For instance, clients were more likely to receive counseling on danger signs during pregnancy and nutrition during pregnancy than on other topics. The survey also found that clients who received counseling on danger signs during pregnancy were more likely to have a higher level of education. The analysis revealed that the level of provider counseling was associated with client knowledge. Clients who received counseling on essential topics were more likely to have accurate knowledge of those topics. For example, clients who received counseling on family planning methods were more likely to have correct knowledge of the methods' protection from sexually transmitted infections. The survey also examined the relationship between provider counseling and client knowledge in different contexts. The analysis found that clients who received counseling on essential topics were more likely to have accurate knowledge of those topics, regardless of their education level or the type of facility they visited. However, the quality of counseling varied significantly across different facilities, with some facilities providing higher-quality counseling than others. The study's findings have implications for improving the quality of provider counseling in Nepal's health facilities. The results suggest that health providers should receive training on essential topics, such as danger signs during pregnancy and nutrition during pregnancy, to improve the quality of counseling. Additionally, health facilities should be equipped with the necessary resources and infrastructure to provide high-quality counseling to clients. The survey's data were analyzed using statistical methods to examine the relationship between provider counseling and client knowledge. The analysis revealed that the level of provider counseling was associated with client knowledge, and that clients who received counseling on essential topics were more likely to have accurate knowledge of those topics. The study's findings provide valuable insights into the levels and quality of provider counseling in Nepal's health facilities and highlight the need for improvements in this area. The survey's results have been presented in various tables and figures, which provide a detailed analysis of the data. The tables present the results of the analysis, including the percentage of clients who received counseling on various topics and the relationship between provider counseling and client knowledge. The figures provide a visual representation of the data, highlighting the trends and patterns in the results.
