Abstract
The project focuses on strengthening the positive resilience of communities working in partnership with their elected officials. Moonshot CVE has been subcontracted to provide technical assistance support and services for the implementation of the Mali PSR Project's crisis response activities on COVID-19. The COVID-19 Response Initiative is a six-month project that aims to increase understanding and awareness of pandemic-related mis/disinformation narratives and actors in Mali. Moonshot CVE will deliver this initiative in collaboration with Creative Associates International (Creative). The objectives of the project include mapping Malian COVID-19 mis/disinformation narratives online, supporting Creative's COVID-19 Communication Campaign Efforts, providing introductory training on strategic communications skills for youth, and developing a monitoring and evaluation framework. Moonshot CVE will deliver several activities as part of the COVID-19 Response Initiative, including Risk and Ethics Mapping, Scoping Malian COVID-19 Mis/Disinformation Narratives, Online and Social Media Data Collection and Analysis, Mis/Disinformation Insight Reporting, Design of Campaign Implementation Blueprint, Training for Youth Communicators, and Support for the design of a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and Learning Agenda. The project team will use automated tools, including Moonshot CVE's proprietary tool, The Tracker, to conduct data collection and analysis on online platforms. A risk assessment has been conducted to identify potential risks that may arise during the implementation of the project activities. The risks have been identified considering uncertain events that may have a direct impact on the successful delivery of the project activities. The risks include technical tools not working as expected, poor internet connectivity disrupting the delivery of the training for youth communicators, data relating to the project being compromised, project information being shared beyond designated stakeholders, and protection of personal data. Mitigation measures have been put in place to address these risks, including using automated tools, ensuring reliable internet connection, implementing strict data protection policies, and maintaining secure communication protocols. Moonshot CVE is committed to undergoing ethically sound and responsible work and will maintain the highest ethical standards in responsibly delivering activities for the Mali PSR COVID-19 Crisis Response. The project team will adhere to the Do No Harm principle and deliver activities in a manner that ensures physical and emotional safety of all individuals involved.
