Abstract
The tour was attended by representatives from five Macedonian companies specializing in processed vegetables: Trgoprodukt, Altra, Bonum Promet, Univerzal Promet, and Lars. The primary objective of the tour was to enhance the export of Macedonian processed vegetables to the Australian market. The Australian market was considered a key target for Macedonian exporters due to the presence of a large consumer base of Balkan descent. The study tour included business-to-business (B2B) meetings and product presentations, providing Macedonian companies the opportunity to showcase their products to potential Australian buyers. Additionally, the tour allowed Macedonian representatives to gain insight into the Australian market, including trends and specifications of competing products. The AgBiz Program aims to promote economic growth in Macedonia by strengthening and improving the competitiveness of the country's agricultural businesses. The program's primary goal is to increase incomes for individuals involved in selected agricultural value chains in Macedonia by enhancing exports and improving the agricultural business environment. The Macedonian processed vegetable industry has the potential to benefit significantly from increased exports to the Australian market. By participating in the study tour, Macedonian companies can expand their customer base and increase their revenue. The AgBiz Program's support for the study tour is a key component of its efforts to promote economic growth and development in Macedonia. The success of the study tour will depend on the ability of Macedonian companies to effectively market their products to the Australian market. The AgBiz Program will continue to provide support to Macedonian businesses through various initiatives, including training and technical assistance, to help them overcome any challenges they may face in the export market. By working together, Macedonian companies can capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Australian market and achieve their export goals.
