Abstract
The program aims to improve the life of youth in Pathway 2. Module 8: Digital Literacy is a key component of the program, with the objective of enabling participants to create an online presence, present their skills and experience online, and analyze people's online presence to identify successful elements and strategies of online presentation. The module also aims to equip participants with safety practices when online, recognize cyberbullying, and take a proactive stance against it. Additionally, participants will learn to use critical thinking skills to analyze online resources, evaluate the quality of sources of information, and search effectively for online resources. The module is divided into three sessions: Creating Your Own Online Presence, Digital Citizenship, and Finding Online Resources. Session 1 focuses on creating an online presence, including identifying ways to create an online presence, determining ways to present one's skills and experience online, and analyzing people's online presence. Session 2 covers digital citizenship, including safety and security, cyberbullying, and general guidance on being a cyber citizen. Session 3 focuses on finding online resources, including questioning online information, improving internet searches, and using online resources to find work and further businesses. The module includes various activities, such as worksheets, handouts, and trainer tools, to facilitate learning and engagement. Participants are required to complete written tasks, including a pre-module self-assessment, worksheets, and a post-module self-assessment. The module also includes handouts and trainer tools to support the learning process.
