Abstract
The project is implemented by the TDEA Office and is supported by USAID. As of November 2012, the project had awarded 40 grants to various partner organizations across the country. The project's monitoring and evaluation activities are a key component of its implementation. In November 2012, the project conducted 14 pre-award assessments, including four detailed, six rapid, and four upgrade assessments. These assessments were conducted by AASR-GT, a partner organization, and were aimed at evaluating the capacity of potential grantees to implement project activities. The project also conducted post-award site visits and finalized reports, toolkits, and files for 25 partner organizations. Additionally, the project's Technical Review Committee (TRC) reviewed all 369 applications received in Cycle 4, and the Grant Management Committee (GMC) and Project Steering Committee (PSC) meetings were held for two thematic areas. Partner organizations were engaged in various activities, including the establishment of complaint cells, health and hygiene sessions, development of training manuals, radio talk shows, and planning and review workshops. Capacity building activities were also conducted, including the second NPO Management Course, which was held at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology in Islamabad. The project's geographic focus is on various regions of Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Central Punjab. The project's timeframes are not explicitly stated, but it is mentioned that the project had been in operation for several months by November 2012. In terms of implementation details, the project's activities are focused on building the capacity of civil society organizations and promoting citizens' participation in governance.
