Abstract
The project consisted of three components: (A) providing business development services through local organizations, (B) improving access to financial and non-financial services, and (C) expanding value-added services with backward and forward linkages. The project targeted small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises. The project was implemented in 14 governorates, with a sample of 93 beneficiaries. The project's activities included providing business development services, improving access to financial and non-financial services, and expanding value-added services. The project also established a network of business development service providers and promoted women's entrepreneurship. The project's main objectives were to enhance entrepreneurship and project development, improve access to financial and non-financial services, and expand value-added services. The project's activities were designed to support the growth of SMEs and micro-enterprises, and to promote women's entrepreneurship. The project's results showed that beneficiaries from outside Cairo and Alexandria felt that their needs were not met compared to their peers in larger cities. The project also found that there was no effective network of business development service providers. The project's training programs were considered useful, but the materials were general and not specialized, making it difficult for beneficiaries to continue using them after the initial phase. The project's evaluation showed that beneficiaries considered business development services, access to finance, and marketing and e-commerce as the most important services for business growth. The project also found that there was a need for more business development service providers, especially in governorates outside Cairo and Alexandria. The project's results also showed that women's entrepreneurship was an important area for development, and that there was a need for more support for women entrepreneurs. The project's recommendations included expanding business development services, improving access to finance, and promoting women's entrepreneurship. The project also recommended establishing a network of business development service providers and promoting e-commerce and marketing services. The project's results also showed that there was a need for more support for SMEs and micro-enterprises, and that the project should focus on providing business development services that are tailored to the needs of different stages of business development. The project's overall goal was to enhance entrepreneurship and project development in Egypt, and to promote women's entrepreneurship. The project's activities were designed to support the growth of SMEs and micro-enterprises, and to improve access to financial and non-financial services. The project's results showed that there was a need for more support for SMEs and micro-enterprises, and that the project should focus on providing business development services that are tailored to the needs of different stages of business development.
