Abstract
The program focused on three key areas: planning, environment/school climate, and teaching/learning and assessment. The initiative was implemented in 260 public schools across Lebanon. The program aimed to develop a teacher portfolio that would serve as a tool for professional development and growth. The portfolio would include a plan for professional development, observations, certificates of training, and self-assessment forms. The initiative also emphasized the importance of teacher collaboration and peer support in achieving professional growth. Teachers were encouraged to participate in professional development activities, such as training sessions and workshops, and to share their experiences and expertise with colleagues. The program also emphasized the importance of teacher reflection and self-assessment in identifying areas for improvement and setting goals for professional growth. The teacher portfolio was designed to be a dynamic and evolving document that would reflect the teacher's professional growth and development over time.
