Abstract
Each CU is linked to a specific health facility within the same locality of operation and has a unique code assigned to it. The database contains permanent and semi-permanent bio-data on each CU, including name, date established, location, and information about the Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) and CHEW In Charge. MCUL does not store monthly data, personnel data, or utilization data on each CU. MCUL is accessible through the website www.ehealth.or.ke/MCUL, which has two sites: a public site for searching and reviewing CU details, and a login site for authorized data managers to enter, update, and manage records and users. The public site allows users to search for CUs and review their details, while the login site is used for data entry, updating, and general management of records and users. To access and explore MCUL, users can open an internet browser and navigate to the website. They can then use the quick search tool to find information about CUs linked to their facility, if any. Users can also provide feedback on updates needed on the website. There are two ways to search for a CU: by name or by CHEW name. Users can type the name of a CU or CHEW in the search field to find relevant information. Searching for a CU by name allows users to find the CU's details, including its location and the CHEW and CHEW In Charge. Searching for a CU by CHEW name allows users to find the CHEW's details, including their name and the CU they are assigned to. This information can be helpful in the user's work, as it allows them to access and review CU details, provide feedback on updates needed, and manage records and users. The MCUL database is an essential tool for health facilities and users, providing them with accurate and up-to-date information about CUs and CHEWs. By accessing and exploring MCUL, users can improve their work efficiency and effectiveness, and provide better services to their communities.
