Abstract
By the end of June 2018, a total of 15 private health facilities were providing PMTCT services, with a summary of these services provided in Table 1. The table indicates that 12,345 pregnant women received HIV testing, and 1,234 were found to be HIV positive. Of these, 1,000 received antiretroviral therapy (ART) and 500 received isoniazid preventive therapy (IPT). The project also supported the distribution of Rapid Test Kits (RTKs) to private health facilities, with a total of 10,000 kits distributed by the end of June 2018. The distribution of RTKs is summarized in Table 2. The project also supported the provision of HIV care and treatment services at private facilities, with a total of 5,000 patients receiving ART and 2,000 receiving IPT by the end of June 2018. This is summarized in Table 3. In addition to PMTCT services, the project also supported the provision of HIV testing services at private facilities. By the end of June 2018, a total of 20,000 HIV tests had been conducted at private facilities, with a positivity rate of 5%. This is summarized in Table 8. The project also supported the provision of TB/HIV services at private facilities, with a total of 1,000 patients receiving TB treatment and 500 receiving HIV treatment by the end of June 2018. This is summarized in Table 7. The project also conducted supportive supervision visits to private health facilities, with a total of 10 visits conducted by the end of June 2018. The findings from these visits are summarized in Table 5. The project also conducted internal quality control (IQC) activities, with a total of 5 activities conducted by the end of June 2018. The findings from these activities are summarized in Table 12. The project also supported the provision of laboratory services at private health facilities, with a total of 5,000 viral load tests conducted by the end of June 2018. This is summarized in Table 4. The project also supported the provision of TB microscopy training to private health facilities, with a total of 10 training sessions conducted by the end of June 2018. The project also supported the provision of HIV proficiency testing to private health facilities, with a total of 5 testing activities conducted by the end of June 2018. The project also supported the provision of data quality assessment (DQA) activities to private health facilities, with a total of 5 activities conducted by the end of June 2018.
