Abstract
Data compiled between 2002 and 2011 indicates that 14% of males and 9% of females in this age group believed that wife-beating is justified. In contrast, 25% of males and 42% of females held this view. These statistics suggest a significant disparity in attitudes towards domestic violence between males and females in this age group.
