Abstract
The project operates in 26 countries across Africa and Latin America, with a focus on high-burden areas. In Angola, the project implemented ITN distribution campaigns, reaching over 1.2 million people. In Benin, VectorLink distributed over 1.5 million ITNs, with a coverage rate of 65% in the target population. In Burkina Faso, the project conducted a comprehensive assessment of ITN distribution channels, identifying opportunities for improvement. In Burundi, VectorLink implemented a community-based ITN distribution program, resulting in a 25% increase in ITN coverage among the target population. In Cambodia, the project conducted a series of ITN distribution campaigns, reaching over 1.8 million people. In Cameroon, VectorLink distributed over 2.5 million ITNs, with a coverage rate of 80% in the target population. The project also implemented various operational research activities to improve ITN distribution and use. In Côte d'Ivoire, VectorLink conducted a study on the effectiveness of ITN distribution through community-based programs. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the project implemented a mobile ITN distribution program, reaching over 1.5 million people. In Ethiopia, VectorLink conducted a comprehensive assessment of ITN distribution channels, identifying opportunities for improvement. The project also placed a strong emphasis on monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on tracking ITN distribution and use. In Ghana, VectorLink implemented a monitoring and evaluation system to track ITN distribution and coverage. In Kenya, the project conducted a series of monitoring and evaluation activities to assess the effectiveness of ITN distribution programs. In Latin America, VectorLink implemented a regional monitoring and evaluation system to track ITN distribution and coverage across the region. The project also prioritized gender equity and environmental compliance and safety. In Mali, VectorLink implemented a gender-focused ITN distribution program, resulting in a 30% increase in ITN coverage among women. In Mozambique, the project conducted a comprehensive assessment of environmental compliance and safety protocols, identifying opportunities for improvement. In Niger, VectorLink implemented a community-based ITN distribution program, resulting in a 25% increase in ITN coverage among the target population. The project also conducted various training and capacity-building activities to support ITN distribution and use. In Rwanda, VectorLink implemented a training program for community health workers, resulting in a 20% increase in ITN coverage among the target population. In Senegal, the project conducted a series of training and capacity-building activities to support ITN distribution and use. In Sierra Leone, VectorLink implemented a community-based ITN distribution program, resulting in a 25% increase in ITN coverage among the target population. The project also placed a strong emphasis on communication and outreach. In Tanzania, VectorLink implemented a communication and outreach program to promote ITN use and distribution. In Uganda, the project conducted a series of communication and outreach activities to support ITN distribution and use. In Zambia, VectorLink implemented a community-based ITN distribution program, resulting in a 25% increase in ITN coverage among the target population. In Zimbabwe, the project conducted a comprehensive assessment of communication and outreach protocols, identifying opportunities for improvement. The project's core activities included ITN distribution, operations research, monitoring and evaluation, gender equity, environmental compliance and safety, conferences, communications, and training and capacity-building. The project's results summary is presented in Annex A, and the communications summary is presented in Annex B.
