Abstract
It involves the construction of secondary and feeder roads in the provinces of Camarines Sur and Masbate. The project is divided into three sub-projects, with the Palis-T Masbate-Libasao-Minalabac Project being one of them. The Palis-T Masbate-Libasao-Minalabac Project consists of the construction of a 24.24765-kilometer secondary road from the municipality of Libasao, Camarines Sur, to the barrio of Minalabac, Masbate. The road will be constructed in three sections, with a total length of 8.3894 kilometers, 5.12853 kilometers, and 2.4 kilometers, respectively. The project also involves the construction of three feeder roads, including the Antipolo-Lucao-San Fernando feeder road, the Mubu-2 Aliwag-Tulivo feeder road, and the Huo-Daolato feeder road. The total length of the feeder roads is 12.70 kilometers. The construction of the secondary and feeder roads is expected to be completed in May or the first week of June, with the fine weather allowing for smooth progress. The contractor has taken measures to protect the materials from inclement weather and has chemically treated the materials to ensure their durability. The project has made significant progress, with 57.40% of the work completed as of the last report. The contractor has completed the construction of the drainage structures, including the culverts and headwalls, and has started the construction of the bridges. The surfacing of the feeder roads will be done using the subbase itself, Item 1106. The project has also made progress in the construction of the bridges, with the contractor completing the construction of the DLM10L-10 bridge and opening it for traffic. The contractor has also started the construction of the DLM10L-12 bridge and has completed the construction of the DLM10L-14 bridge. The project has faced some challenges, including the increase in the cost of cement, which has affected the project's budget. However, the contractor has taken measures to mitigate the impact of the cost increase and has ensured that the project is completed on schedule. The project is expected to be completed in the near future, with the contractor working diligently to ensure that the project is completed on schedule. The project will provide significant benefits to the local communities, including improved access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.
