Project assistance completion report [: democratic development and administration of justice]

The project proved a useful mechanism for addressing a variety of issues in democratic development and the administration of justice. The majority of funds were used to procure consultant assistance in preparing the PID and the Project Paper for the Justice Sector Improvement Project. The project also funded (1) a seminar for members of the Legislative Assembly, sponsored by the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE) and Florida International University; and (2) participation in an International Law Institute constitutional rights seminar by a superior court judge and by the legal assistant to the Executive Director of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights.
