Grant is provided under the Togo Disaster Relief Project (9683023) to Catholic Relief Services and its Togolese partner, the Organization de la Charite pour un Developpement Integral (OCDI) to carry out emergency food distribution in Togo, where a general strike has immobilized the economy and obstructed the flow of food aid to the needy.

Abstract
OCDI will distribute 700 MT of Title II bulgur, wheat, and wheat-soy-blend in selected areas of the Plateau and Maritime Regions, targeting the elderly, the handicapped, the terminally ill, displaced heads of households, and single mothers. OCDI will distribute the food commodities through the local parish network, on the basis of need, not religion or ethnicity. Some 29,000 families (175,000 people) will benefit.
