Abstract
The project supported the construction of 58 middle schools, with a stable source of electricity and water. Implementation of the project involved various activities, including the issuance of grants to middle schools to prepare for the new school year. The project also focused on improving the quality of education in supported schools, with a focus on learning environments, use of information and communication technology, and instructional practices. Training of teachers and regional academic inspectors was also conducted to support quality improvements in middle schools. The project's expected results for fiscal year 2010 included the installation of construction sites for 9 buildings of 2 classrooms, installation of solar kits, and inventory of equipment, books, and science equipment. Additionally, the project aimed to train teams of non-PAEM regions in the tools and strategies of community mobilization, and to monitor classrooms' construction sites and electrify the middle schools.
