Abstract
The project's main achievements during this quarter include the implementation of the close-out plan, development of the project's Knowledge Management Toolkit, and organization of dissemination and transition workshops in each intervention country. The close-out plan implementation follow-up at AgirPF implementation countries was led by the Chief of Party (COP), who managed the implementation of the plan and coordinated the preparation of required project-level deliverables. Bi-weekly meetings with country teams provided a regular consultation forum to discuss the implementation of close-out activities. As a result, the AgirPF country offices effectively closed in accordance with the USAID-approved closeout plan by June 30, 2018. Electronic and physical office file storage in the intervention countries was also a key activity during this quarter. AgirPF identified consulting firms, audit firms, lawyers, NGOs, or partners in each country to assume the role of storing accounting and financial records for at least ten years prior to their destruction. EngenderHealth signed one-year renewable contracts with the selected parties and is responsible for monitoring the stored files. The execution of the asset disposition plan in the AgirPF countries was another important activity during this quarter. The final inventory list of residual non-expendable property, including furniture items valued at more than US$500, was prepared, and a proposed disposition plan was submitted to USAID/WA. Prior to the approval of the disposition plan, USAID/WA requested that a large part of the materials and equipment be transferred to the newly awarded USAID/WA-funded Amplify-FP project. The development of the project's Knowledge Management Toolkit was also a key achievement during this quarter. The toolkit aims to facilitate the replication of AgirPF's approaches and interventions by health facilities, CSOs, NGOs, and institutions working in the area of Reproductive Health. The toolkit will be shared with stakeholders and used to document and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from the project. The routine monitoring and endline evaluation data highlighted significant progress made by the AgirPF project. Achievement rates against project targets are 91% for the total number of FP clients, 84% for the number of additional clients, and 81% for the couple-year protection (CYP). The project's close-out activities have been successfully implemented, and the Knowledge Management Toolkit has been developed to facilitate the replication of the project's approaches and interventions. The AgirPF project has effectively closed in accordance with the USAID-approved closeout plan, and the project's assets have been disposed of in accordance with the approved disposition plan. The project's Knowledge Management Toolkit will be shared with stakeholders and used to document and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from the project. The project's achievements demonstrate its commitment to improving reproductive health outcomes in West Africa.
