Grant is provided under the Restructuring Agriculture and Agribusiness project (1800024) to Agricultural Cooperative Development International (ACDI) to provide two long-term advisors to rural cooperative banks in Poland to improve their capacity to operate in an open market system.

Abstract
ACDI will provide a cooperative banking advisor, who will be attached to Poland"s new National Council of Cooperative Banks (NCCB). The advisor will assist NCCB in creating five new regional banks which will provide financial management services, loan participation, and rediscounting for existing cooperative banks and other qualifying financial institutions. A financial planning advisor will also be attached to the NCCB, and will help to create a Financial Planning Advisory Service which will provide services to the regional banks, other cooperative banks, and potential customers of the banks. Up to 30 person-months of short-term TA will be provided as well.
