Abstract
Evaluation covers the period 12/79-12/80 and consists of a PES facesheet attached to two special evaluations of the project PD-AAG-328-C1, F1). Listed on the facesheet are decisions and unresolved issues, including the project manager"s redesigning of the project"s training component (to be completed by 3/31/81), and the redesigning of the road building and soils laboratory project component. The latter will entail the decision by 3/1/81 whether or not to eliminate these two elements, including commodity procurement through the Afro-American Procurement Center, from the project. Also listed is the decision of the project manager to hold meetings with cognizant cabinet ministers to discuss evaluation findings and to resolve specific actions on road building, soils laboratory, and equipment repair portions of the project. This activity was completed on 12/4/80. In addition, the project manager decided to communicate to Tippetts-Abbett-McCarthy-Stratton, the project contractor, USAID"s concern about the need to improve its monthly reports.
