Abstract
TEAMS VISITED SOUTH VIETNAM, THAILAND, INDONESIA, THE PHILIPPINES, PANAMA, COLOMBIA, ECUADOR, PERU, NICARAGUA, BRAZIL, SWAZILAND, AND NIGERIA. AS WELL AS DESCRIBING THE CRITERIA FOR COUNTRY SELECTION, THIS SUMMARY ASSESSES THE RELATIVE IMPORTANCE OF CRITERIA IN MAKING THE FINAL SITE SELECTION, COMPARES THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COUNTRIES VISITED, AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS. INCLUDES A DISCUSSION OF POTENTIAL SITES, COUNTRY INTEREST IN THE PROJECT, SITE IDENTIFICATION, AND THE NEED FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. THE INFORMATION IS SUPPLEMENTED BY A MATRIX DISPLAYING THE COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF EACH COUNTRY, BY COMPARATIVE DEMOGRAPHIC AND EDUCATION DATA, AND BY REPORTS.
