Stability in Key Areas (SIKA) – West initiatives in Farah Province began with the support of the District Governor, who facilitated a meeting of the Pusht-e Rod 11th DSC on September 25th.

Abstract
The meeting, attended by 39 people, identified five hard mitigation activities, including road rehabilitation and the installation of solar water pumps, to address sources of instability in the district. A Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee was established to mediate and resolve current conflicts in the district. A separate meeting was held with 20 influential women at the Farah PST office, where a short Stability Analysis Mechanism (SAM) training was provided. In Bala Boluk District, the Bala Boluk DG chaired the 13th DSC meeting on September 24th, attended by 48 people. The DSC members analyzed previous sources of instability and prioritized five new mitigation activities. A Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee was established, with 31 people chosen as its members. The Pusht-e Rod DG monitored the work progress of the community center refurbishment in Dehzak village and the literacy training course in Chin Farsi village on September 30th. The Pusht-e Rod DG emphasized the importance of education for both men and women and pledged to provide more education opportunities in the future. In Badghis Province, the Qadis Youth Association held a public meeting with 51 youths from different villages in Qadis District on September 28th. The youths shared challenges they face in the community and discussed their last month's activities and achievements. The Muqur 7th DSC meeting was organized on September 24th, attended by 112 people, including 23 women. The DSC members analyzed previous sources of instability, including illiteracy, poverty, and lack of transparency in government administration. The Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee identified five ongoing tribal conflicts in the district, which will be discussed at the next TCRC meeting. In Herat Province, the Pashtun Zarghun 8th DSC meeting was held on September 29th, attended by 89 people. An overview of the mitigation activities was presented, and a Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee was established to mediate and resolve current conflicts in the district. The DG, along with the DSC members, inaugurated five infrastructure projects, including the construction of protection walls and the rehabilitation of Ghahistan High School. The Kushk Rabat-e Sangi and Pashtun Zarghun District Governors provided sport clothes and equipment with peace messages to football and volleyball players on September 26th. In Ghor Province, the Chaghcharan 6th DSC meeting was held on September 25th, attended by 75 people, including 12 women. The Ghor Deputy Provincial Governor briefed the participants about the achievements of the Tribal Conflict Resolution Committee and emphasized the need to end tribal conflicts in the province. An overview of the status of the implementation of the mitigation activities was presented. The Ghor Deputy Provincial Governor organized a public meeting with 55 representatives of the Chaghcharan Women Association and line departments' staff on September 24th, where women highlighted their roles in bringing peace and conflict resolution in the community. Upcoming events include media training for Farah Pusht-e Rod and Khak-e-Safayd District youth on October 1st, an informative meeting with farmers about the dangers of poppy cultivation in Farah Pusht-e Rod District on October 1st, a Badghis Muqur Ulema and Tribal Engagement meeting on October 2nd, a Badghis Qadis DG public meeting with 50 district entities' representatives on October 2nd, a Herat Police Commander meeting with influential leaders of Pashtun Zarghun District on October 2nd, and a one-week Internal Communications training for Ghor Chaghcharan and Shahrak communication officers from October 2-9.
