Abstract
The initiative was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Deloitte Consulting LLP. The primary focus of G4G was on strengthening the private sector and civil society, with a specific emphasis on women's empowerment and integration. A stakeholder assessment map was conducted to identify key gender organizations in Georgia that could contribute to the success of G4G. The assessment involved mapping the major mandates, levels of influence, common interest areas, and roles of various gender organizations in the country. The map identified eight key organizations, including the Georgian Association "Women in Business" (GAWB), Fund of Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), and Women's Fund in Georgia (WFG). The stakeholder assessment revealed that the GAWB, FWE, and WFG were among the most influential organizations in promoting women's empowerment and participation in economic development. These organizations were involved in various activities, including capacity building, trainings, and workshops, to support women's economic empowerment. The assessment also highlighted the importance of cooperation and collaboration among these organizations to achieve common goals. The G4G initiative aimed to cooperate with all gender organizations equally, recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and expertise in promoting women's empowerment and economic growth. The initiative's focus on women's empowerment was driven by the recognition that women's participation in economic development is critical for achieving sustainable growth and reducing poverty. The stakeholder assessment map provided a comprehensive overview of the key gender organizations in Georgia and their roles in promoting women's empowerment and economic development. The map served as a valuable resource for G4G stakeholders, including USAID and Deloitte Consulting LLP, to inform their programming and policy decisions. The G4G initiative in Georgia was a collaborative effort between USAID, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and various gender organizations in the country.
