Abstract
The study focuses on four case studies: Construye T, Fica Vivo!, the joint program of Rescate de Espacios Públicos (PREP) and Hábitat, and the Política Pública de Juventud del Valle del Cauca. Construye T is a program that aims to address the problem of unemployment and lack of opportunities among young people in Mexico. The program provides training and support to young people, focusing on skills development, entrepreneurship, and job placement. The program has a strong focus on community engagement and participation, with a goal of creating a network of young people who can support each other in their personal and professional development. Fica Vivo! is a program that targets young people in urban areas, focusing on issues such as poverty, violence, and lack of opportunities. The program provides a range of services, including education, training, and job placement, as well as support for entrepreneurship and community development. The program has a strong focus on social inclusion and equity, with a goal of reducing inequality and promoting social mobility among young people. The joint program of Rescate de Espacios Públicos (PREP) and Hábitat is a comprehensive initiative that aims to address the problem of urban poverty and lack of opportunities among young people in Mexico. The program provides a range of services, including education, training, and job placement, as well as support for entrepreneurship and community development. The program has a strong focus on community engagement and participation, with a goal of creating a network of young people who can support each other in their personal and professional development. The Política Pública de Juventud del Valle del Cauca is a policy initiative that aims to address the needs and challenges of young people in the Valle del Cauca region of Colombia. The policy focuses on issues such as education, employment, and social inclusion, with a goal of promoting social mobility and reducing inequality among young people. The policy provides a range of services and support, including education and training programs, job placement services, and support for entrepreneurship and community development. The analysis of the four case studies reveals a range of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats. Construye T is strong in terms of its community engagement and participation, but faces challenges in terms of its scalability and sustainability. Fica Vivo! is strong in terms of its focus on social inclusion and equity, but faces challenges in terms of its limited resources and capacity. The joint program of PREP and Hábitat is strong in terms of its comprehensive approach, but faces challenges in terms of its coordination and management. The Política Pública de Juventud del Valle del Cauca is strong in terms of its focus on social mobility and inequality, but faces challenges in terms of its implementation and impact. Overall, the study highlights the importance of addressing the needs and challenges of young people in a comprehensive and inclusive manner. The four case studies provide valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches, and highlight the need for continued innovation and improvement in the field of youth development.
