Abstract
The project, led by World Learning, focuses on improving educational services in reading, math, writing, and social and emotional learning. QITABI 2 is a USAID-funded initiative that seeks to ensure girls and boys in Lebanese schools gain essential skills according to their development potential. The project is implemented in partnership with Ana Aqra', American Language Learning Center, International Rescue Committee, and Management Systems International. QITABI 2's objectives include building the Lebanese education system's institutional capacity for sustainability and self-reliance, improving the provision of educational services, and enhancing the quality of education. The project's outcomes are focused on improving student performance in reading, writing, and math, as well as social and emotional learning. QITABI 2's outcomes are measured through various indicators, including student performance in reading, writing, and math, as well as the adoption of social and emotional learning methodologies in the classroom. Implementation of QITABI 2's outcomes is focused on three key areas: teacher training, educational materials and equipment, and market linkage facilitation. The project has established a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation system to track progress and identify areas for improvement. QITABI 2's monitoring and evaluation system includes regular data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure that the project is meeting its objectives. The project's communication strategy is focused on disseminating information to stakeholders, including teachers, students, parents, and policymakers. QITABI 2's communication strategy includes the development of communication materials, such as reports, newsletters, and social media platforms, to keep stakeholders informed about the project's progress and achievements. QITABI 2's financial management and operations are overseen by World Learning, with support from the project's partners. The project's financial management system includes regular budgeting, accounting, and reporting to ensure that funds are used efficiently and effectively. The project's challenges and constraints include the COVID-19 pandemic, which has impacted the delivery of educational services, as well as the need to build the capacity of the Lebanese education system to sustain the project's outcomes. QITABI 2's responses to these challenges include the development of remote learning platforms and the provision of technical assistance to the Lebanese education system. The project's scope of work for the next quarter includes the continuation of teacher training, the development of educational materials and equipment, and the facilitation of market linkage. QITABI 2's result indicator table provides a comprehensive overview of the project's progress and achievements, including the number of teachers trained, the number of educational materials and equipment developed, and the number of students benefiting from the project's outcomes. The project's annexes include various reports and documents, including the QITABI 2 Learning Recovery Study Report, the Book Authoring Criteria-French-Maps G1-G6, and the PSS activities teachers manual. These annexes provide additional information on the project's progress and achievements, as well as the challenges and constraints faced by the project.
