Abstract
academic training in agriculture and livestock management for 66 Tanzanians. PES facesheet covers the period 1/80-6/80 and is based on an attached special evaluation (XD-AAL-552-A). Pilot testing of in-country agricultural, livestock, planning, and management training was not evaluated. Action decisions include: (1) modifying participants" Health and Accident Coverage Program to correct enrollment and payment problems; (2) reviewing and adjusting participants" support allowances; (3) providing explanations for support checks which differ from the monthly allowance, and mailing checks for receipt by the end of each month; (4) instructing long-term participants to hand-carry all records pertaining to post-secondary background to the training site; (5) videotaping a group discussion by recently returned Tanzanian participants for use in orientation of departing students; (6) indicating specific areas of program emphasis and postgraduate job placement; (7) including U.S. Department of Agriculture short courses and Training for Rural Development student seminars in all programs; and (8) providing remedial education opportunities to overcome academic deficiencies, or adjusting program objectives.
