Abstract
in Belarus from February 23-26. The event took place at the Children Rehabilitation Center Zhdanovichi in the Minsk region. The primary objective of the training was to develop a pool of national trainers capable of delivering effective HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and support interventions. Forty-five candidates from 14 towns, 25 NGOs, and 6 state institutions competed for participation in the training course. The selection process resulted in 17 participants being chosen from various regions, including Baran, Gorki, Machulischi, Minsk, Mogilev, Orsha, Pinsk, Rechitsa, Svetlogorsk, Vitebsk. The selected participants represented a diverse group, comprising 16 individuals from NGOs and initiative groups, 5 people from state institutions, and 1 deputy of a local and regional council. The training program covered theoretical and practical tasks, including experiential learning, group dynamics, teambuilding, and training tools. The event aimed to foster a unique atmosphere that encouraged networking and experience exchange among participants. Each participant presented their approach to different aspects of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and support, highlighting the diversity of perspectives and expertise within the group. One participant noted that the training was particularly helpful in terms of contact making and partnership, and expressed their intention to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their own training activities. The Training of Trainers program is part of the Long-Term Training Course for trainers' pool, with the next step being training on General HIV/AIDS Education. The participants in the training represented a range of sectors and fields of activities, including NGOs, initiative groups, state institutions, and local government. The diversity of the group and the comprehensive training program aimed to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and support interventions in their respective communities.
