Abstract
The series aims to provide local partners with the necessary knowledge and tools to institutionalize good human resources practices. The webinars are designed to support the capacity development of local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the areas of human resources management. The webinar series has been well-received, with 69 webinars broadcasted to date, reaching over 14,500 attendees. The webinars are available in three languages: English, French, and Portuguese. Participants can access the presentations, download a PDF, or watch a recording of the webinar. The webinars cover a range of topics, including financial policies, internal controls, and compliance. The USAID/Accelerating Support to Advanced Local Partners program has provided support to 75 local NGOs, with 51 local capacity advisors working with these organizations. The program has also conducted 45 NGO risk assessments using the NUPAS and NUPAS Plus tools, as well as 6 G2G risk assessments. The program's core funding and buy-in funds have enabled the support of local NGOs in their capacity development efforts. The webinar series is presented by a team of experts, including Simon Mbugua, ASAP Capacity Advisor; Nkatha Njeru, Coordinator, ACHAP; and Eno-Obong Edeghe, HR Manager, USAID Call Center. The presenters bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in the area of human resources management, and their expertise is invaluable to the local NGOs participating in the program. The program's focus on institutionalizing good human resources practices is critical to the success of local NGOs. By providing them with the necessary knowledge and tools, the program enables these organizations to build their capacity and improve their performance. The webinar series is an important component of the program, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and capacity building among local NGOs. The program's impact is evident in the number of local NGOs supported and the range of activities undertaken.
