Abstract
The project's primary objective is to strengthen and improve health systems in developing countries. The project's performance monitoring report for fiscal year 2015 covers the period from October 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015. The report highlights the project's activities in various countries, including Botswana, Burundi, Cote d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, East Africa Region, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Georgia, Ukraine, Haiti, and Nicaragua. The project's activities are categorized into several areas, including Field Support-Funded Activities, MNCH Core-Directed Funding, Office of HIV/AIDS-Funded Activities, and Office of Health Systems-Funded Activities. In Botswana, the project implemented activities to improve maternal health outcomes. The number of maternal deaths per month nationwide decreased from 12 in January 2013 to 6 in June 2015.
