Abstract
The majority of these awards are cooperative agreements, with a smaller portion being contracts and grants. The awards are focused on various sectors, including education, income generation, peace and constitution drafting, political parties and processes, trafficking in persons, agriculture, trade, environment, and public health. The education sector is supported through several awards, including a $14.7 million contract with Winrock International for the Education for Income Generation program. The Asia Foundation is also a key partner in this sector, with a $708,259 cooperative agreement for the Nepal Peace Support Project. The Carter Center has a $500,000 cooperative agreement for monitoring Nepal's peace process and constitution drafting. In the area of income generation, The Asia Foundation has a $6.8 million cooperative agreement for combating trafficking in persons. CIMMYT has a $2 million PIO grant for the Hill Maize Research Project. Chemonics International, Inc. has a $29.2 million task order contract for the Nepal Economic, Agriculture and Trade (NEAT) program. The environment and public health sector is also a key focus area, with several awards supporting water, sanitation, and hygiene improvement, as well as social empowerment and building accessibility. Save the Children Federation Inc. has a $46 million cooperative agreement for the Integrated Nutrition Program. Family Health International (FHI 360) has a $27.5 million cooperative agreement for the Saath Saath Program. In addition to these awards, USAID/Nepal also has several awards in progress, including a $25.1 million contract with Sajhedari for the Partnership for Local Governance. The Feed the Future program has several awards in progress, including a $23.4 million contract for Ag and Nutrition, a $1.5 million contract for Monitoring and Evaluation, and a $3.1 million contract for Literacy. The Health for Life program also has several awards in progress, including a $19 million contract for Core and a $2 million contract for Logistics.
