Abstract
AID-391-A-17-00002, Annual Performance Report FY 2023, covers the period from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023. The report is made possible by the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The activity's primary goal is to strengthen health systems and improve service delivery in Pakistan, with a focus on the provinces of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The report highlights the progress made in various areas, including health systems strengthening, global health security, tuberculosis (TB) control, activity monitoring and evaluation, and cross-cutting initiatives. In the area of health systems strengthening, the report notes the closure and dissemination of IHSS-SD project activities from 2017 to 2022. The Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign 2022 was also implemented, with a focus on increasing vaccination coverage among children. Additionally, the report highlights the strengthening of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) systems, including the expansion to additional districts.
