Abstract
The first of the two sections highlights nutrition education trends and concepts, and techniques of current concern in the field; individual chapters discuss the negotiation approach to nutrition education, the use of focused group sessions, applying ethnography to communication, nutrition message design, innovations in materials design, combining growth monitoring and nutrition education, nutrition education for primary health care workers, and evaluating breastfeeding campaigns. The second section describes the lessons learned from and methodologies followed in a variety of landmark nutrition education projects. Many of the articles derive from the experience of the AID-sponsored International Nutrition Communication Services (INCS) project. Selections range from 4 to 13 pages in length.
