NHRI and CSO Interactions in Niger: A Study on Addressing Justice Needs

The study, conducted by the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) in collaboration with Freedom House, aims to fill the evidence gaps in the growing academic literature on the role of NHRIs in pursuing justice. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining literature reviews, key informant interviews, and online surveys to gather data. The report presents findings on the current state of human rights in Niger, the role of the Niger Commission Nationale des Droits de l'Homme (CNDH) in addressing justice needs, and the interactions between the CNDH and CSOs. The study also provides recommendations for strengthening collaboration between the CNDH and CSOs to support access to justice.
