NHRI and CSO Interactions: The Gambia Study

The study, conducted by the ABA ROLI in collaboration with Freedom House, aims to fill the evidence gaps in the growing academic literature on the role of NHRIs in pursuing justice. The study explores the NHRI's mandate, functions, and interactions with CSOs, as well as the experiences of individuals who have interacted with the NHRI and CSOs in seeking justice for human rights violations. The study also provides recommendations for improving the NHRI's effectiveness in addressing human rights violations and promoting justice in The Gambia.
