Ghana CPD Report: Strengthening Professional Development for Nurses and Midwives

Using a Behaviorally Focused Applied Political Economy Analysis to Strengthen Continuing Professional Development in Ghana. It was written by MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership and published in March 2023. The report presents the results of a behaviorally focused applied political economy analysis (BF-APEA) conducted in Ghana to strengthen continuing professional development (CPD) for nurses and midwives. The report outlines the goal of CPD in Ghana, the impediments to achieving that goal, and the key behaviors required of actors at all levels in the system to address those impediments. It also presents the key research findings, summary recommendations, and key behaviors that must be systematically practiced to strengthen CPD in Ghanaian healthcare system.
