Frontline Nutrition Services: Roles, Responsibilities, and Pre-Service Training (December 2022)

The report presents the findings of a landscape analysis of the pre-service training of selected cadres of health workers in five countries: Bangladesh, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Malawi, and the Kyrgyz Republic. The analysis aimed to assess the nutrition content within pre-service training curricula and identify areas where governments and professional associations can strengthen nutrition content for specific cadres. The report provides an overview of the importance of pre-service training for frontline health workers, the methodology used, and the findings and recommendations for each country.
