Abstract
The document covers the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, introducing complementary feeding, and continuing breastfeeding until 12-24 months or more. It also provides guidance on how to support HIV-positive mothers in deciding how to feed their children, including assessing the child's nutritional status and providing counseling on appropriate complementary feeding practices. The document is produced with the support of the FANTA project, USAID, and FHI 360.
