Abstract
The program, implemented by ACDI/VOCA, aims to reduce stunting and increase resiliency in the region. The case study highlights the pilot micro-irrigation activities, which involved providing irrigation kits to community groups and lead farmers, and training them on farming as a business, village savings and loans associations, and agronomic best practices. The study showcases the success of the program, including increased crop production and income for farmers, and discusses plans for scaling up the micro-irrigation system in the region. The document is part of the Technical and Operational Performance Support (TOPS) Program, a USAID-funded learning mechanism that generates and shares knowledge on food assistance programming.
