THE TOPS PROGRAM
This document is a tool for framing a discussion between nutrition and agriculture specialists, specifically designed for USAID-funded development programs.
2017

Abstract
The tool provides a four-step process to facilitate agreement between agriculture and nutrition staff on the prioritization of crops to be promoted for household-level agricultural plots in a project or geographic area. The steps include creating a composite crop list, individual agriculture and nutrition evaluations, joint discussion and prioritization, and identifying implications for project implementation. The tool aims to support a dialogue between agriculture specialists and nutrition specialists to jointly design project interventions that improve nutrition for vulnerable women and children under the age of two.
