Abstract
Implementation focused on three key interventions: policy support, trade facilitation, and market linkage facilitation. The Integrated Administrative Control System (IACS) was introduced to improve land registration and monitoring. The Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) was established to provide financial support to farmers. The Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance for Rural Development (IPARD) program was implemented to support rural development. The study analyzed the impact of agricultural support on the development of the sector in Macedonia from 2006 to 2011. The analysis focused on five selected subsectors: horticulture, fruit production, dairy farming, meat production, and tobacco production. The study found that the support provided by the government and international organizations had a positive impact on the development of the agricultural sector. The study found that the support provided to farmers had a positive impact on their income and productivity. The average income of farmers increased by 27% between 2006 and 2011. The study also found that the support provided to farmers had a positive impact on the development of the rural economy. The rural economy showed a significant increase in employment and income opportunities.
