A.I.D agreement no. 674-0302-G-SS-9053-00 with the Witswatersrand Council of Churches for selected education outreach programs to schools started by squatter communities in South Africa

Grant is provided under the Education Support and Training project (6740302) in South Africa to the Witswatersrand Council of Churches (WCC) to support its program to assist schools in legally and politically endangered squatter communities, such as Weiler"s Farm, and help these communities to gain control over their children"s education.

Abstract

The grant will also be used to strengthen WCC"s financial systems. Eligible expenses will include teacher training and salary support, educational materials, computers for WCC"s financial systems, and the services of an external accounting firm.
