Abstract
This assessment was conducted in the North, Beqaa, and Southern regions of Lebanon, with the primary goal of informing the selection of private TVET and private sector/SME partners for the CSP Workforce Development (WFD) activity. The consultancy, undertaken by Remark Consultancy Firm, aimed to provide an overview of current labor market trends in the target areas, identify and profile private TVET providers, and assess the capacity of TVET institutions. The assessment components addressed organizational aspects, technical training, and preparedness for cooperation. The TVET assessment led to the identification of pre-qualified TVET partners, which will inform the selection of partners for the WFD activity. The assessment results will serve as a baseline for further provision of upgrades and technical assistance and capacity building interventions. The TVET capacity assessment was conducted for four TVET institutions, including CODI, Tamkeen, College Orthodox Mina, and the Lebanese Red Cross Nursing School. The assessment identified areas subject for upgrading, including infrastructure, equipment, and human resources systems. The outcomes of the TVET capacity assessment include the identification of ten private TVETs and areas subject for upgrading. The assessment results will inform the selection of partners for the WFD activity and provide a baseline for further provision of upgrades and technical assistance and capacity building interventions. The CSP Workforce Development activity will be implemented based on the assessment results, which will enable informed decisions regarding the provision of upgrades and technical assistance and capacity building interventions. The assessment results will also inform the selection of private sector/SME partners for the WFD activity. The TVET capacity assessment was conducted in accordance with the terms and references of the contract, and the results will be used to inform the implementation of the WFD activity. The assessment results will provide a baseline for further provision of upgrades and technical assistance and capacity building interventions, which will enable the CSP to achieve its objectives and improve the capacity of TVET institutions in Lebanon.
