Abstract
The activity is part of the USAID/Lebanon Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS) and is implemented by ECODIT in partnership with local organizations. The DAWERR Activity focuses on improving waste collection and disposal practices, increasing recycling rates, and promoting community-based waste management initiatives. The activity targets 15 municipalities in Lebanon, with a focus on improving waste management in urban and peri-urban areas. The activity's monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plan is designed to track progress towards the activity's objectives and outcomes. The MEL plan includes a set of performance indicators that measure the activity's impact on waste management practices, recycling rates, and community engagement. The DAWERR Activity's results framework is aligned with the USAID/Lebanon CDCS and the activity's logical framework. The results framework includes a set of intermediate results (IRs) that measure progress towards the activity's objectives, as well as a set of sustainability indicators that measure the activity's long-term impact. The activity's MEL plan includes a data quality assessment procedure to ensure that data collected is accurate and reliable. The plan also outlines roles and responsibilities for data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as a collaboration, learning, and adaptation (CLA) plan to ensure that the activity learns from its experiences and adapts its approaches as needed. The DAWERR Activity's performance indicator reference sheets provide a detailed description of each performance indicator, including the indicator's definition, target value, and data collection methodology. The indicator tracking table provides a summary of the activity's performance indicators, including the indicator's name, target value, and current status. The activity's MEL plan is designed to be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust the plan as needed to respond to changing circumstances. The plan includes a reporting schedule and a performance information management path to ensure that data is collected, analyzed, and reported in a timely and efficient manner. The DAWERR Activity's MEL plan is an essential tool for tracking progress towards the activity's objectives and outcomes. The plan provides a framework for data collection, analysis, and reporting, and ensures that the activity learns from its experiences and adapts its approaches as needed.
