Abstract
The program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Cooperative Agreement No. AID-514-A-11-00004. The program's primary objective is to promote the social and economic inclusion of Afro-Colombian and indigenous communities through the development of their capacities, institutions, and leadership. ACIP focuses on improving access to education, healthcare, education, and economic opportunities for these marginalized groups. ACIP's approach involves working with local communities, civil society organizations, and government institutions to address the root causes of poverty, inequality, and exclusion. The program also aims to promote the rights of Afro-Colombian and indigenous peoples, including their right to land, territory, and self-determination. One of the key strategies of ACIP is to support the development of community-based organizations and community-based organizations (CBOs) that can provide services and support to Afro-Colombian and indigenous communities. ACIP also works with local government institutions to strengthen their capacity to respond to the needs of these communities. ACIP's work is guided by a participatory approach, which involves the active participation of community members, CBOs, and other stakeholders in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the program. This approach ensures that the program is responsive to the needs and priorities of the communities it serves. The program's progress is monitored and evaluated regularly to ensure that it is meeting its objectives and making a positive impact on the lives of Afro-Colombian and indigenous persons.
